    Letchworth State Park, NY

Called the Grand Canyon of the East, Letchworth State Park is beautifully situated in the Catskill Mountain region near the Finger Lakes and Taughannock Falls. The park itself is only about 35 miles outside of Rochester NY, but you'll feel like you've traveled hundreds of miles to get to such an untouched piece of beautiful earth.

    THE EXPERIENCE

At 14,350 acres in size, Letchworth has lots to discover, so make sure to allow at least a few days to fully experience it. The park is full of lush forests, features 22 hiking trails, and boasts over 40 waterfalls and cascades, rising as high as 500 feet from ground level.

In the realm of canyons and gorges, Letchworth is unparalleled within the entire east coast region of the US, and indeed, it has no west lying competition up to the Rocky Mountains.
